Tectonic Tag

I went to Cave In Rock Natoinal Park in Kentucky yesterday. The cave is small little nook that's only accessible by land when the Ohio River is at low tide. I went in expecting to see fossilized fish, weathered walls, and maybe a snake or two. What I found instead was a LOT of graffiti. I was revolted at first, seeing the defacement of something so beautiful but after I saw some more advanced work, I started appreciating the contrast. The tags made me think about cave paintings. I already had an appreciation for graffiti after reading "The Dead Emcee Scrolls" by Saul Williams. Seeings a tags on cave walls reminded me of something he would talk about in his poems.
