Kitbash Zaku/Gouf

Description

My first kitbash.
I was very dissatisfied with the 08th MS team HG Zaku II. It's a poor model, even for the day. The articulation was laughable, the polycaps required glue, and the stickers were awkwardly placed. Nevertheless, I wanted the kit because of the variant that came with it. The MS-06J Zaku, which made an appearance in Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story 0079: Rise from the ashes. I kept looking at my Zakus and this one just seemed out of place. Another oddball in the lineup was my HGUC MS-07B Gouf. Don't get me wrong, the kit is nice. I just did a terrible job of painting it. I went over it with too much enamel and had thought about using it for spare parts.
After seeing the amazing weathering done on [link] and asking the artist about his technique, I wanted to give it a try. I took out the spare Zaku light shield and started weathering. I didn't have any modeling glue so I had improvise a little bit but the end result was amazing.

tl;dr - Parts taken from HG MS-07B Gouf and HG MS-06 Zaku (08th ms team)

Very, very cool. The shield and damage came out looking absolutely stellar. I am glad I could help out but you just took my idea and ran with it. Very well done, I am impressed.

Thank you for mentioning me in your description too, I really appreciate that.
